Famous Crocodile Reserve Of Odisha ‘Bhitarakanika National Park’ In Kendrapara

Odisha’s Kendrapara district Bhitarkanika National Park was opened this morning for the tourists.

The Park was closed for 3 months since from Might 1 for the breeding of saltwater crocodiles.

“Because the saltwater crocodiles get aggressive and resort to unprovoked assault on the folks throughout breeding season right now of the yr, the Forest division has closed the park until July 31,” DFO, Rajnagar Wildlife Division, Bimal Prasanna Acharya mentioned.

As per the final 12 months census, 511 hatchlings, 380 yearlings, 317 juveniles, 149 sub-adults, 305 adults and three big crocodiles measuring greater than 20 toes have been sighted within the water our bodies of the park.
